We received an earlier version of this for a wedding gift...what would we do with it? Never really occurred to us the many ways we might use it until years later when our first-born came along...we learned the right "blend" of pre-heated water to tap water to mix formula for her. From there, it snowballed. Tea, oatmeal, cup-o-noodles, etc.
10 years later, apart from vacations and other extended absences, this thing has been plugged in almost continuously (yes, 24/7, and yeah, I know, not the most efficient use of electricity). We refill it daily. And from a few reviews here, I've now learned that parts should be available to help with the pump problems (sorry Amazon, no sale just yet!)

I love having boiling water on demand. A real time-saver. Easy to operate and silent except when it initially boils the water. We've had the unit for a year now and can't imagine being without it - Highly Recommended!

I love the boiler. It keeps the water hot 24/7, so you can have hot water whenever you desire. The automatic boiling feature is a plus whenever you add cold water to the boiler.

When I got my first apartment about 20 years ago, my Japanese mother gave me a Zojirushi electric air pot. It allowed me to make countless cups of tea and instant coffee and ramen throughout the years until it finally died last summer. I thought at first that I would get a cheap electric tea pot but when I saw that I could order this one which is similar to my original pot, my husband told me to get it. If I get half as many years out of the pot, it will be well worth it. There have been a few changes, but it seems to work as well as my old one.

This is a splurge item, but a practical one. Having easy access to hot water for quick drinks or anything that you'd have to boil water for is really nice.
Maintains a good constant heat and dispenses it safely.
