Took this on a two thousand mile road trip this past week. The one big problem was that the display was difficult to read in the sunlight, even after changing the display brightness. Had to rely on the sound mostly during the daytime. It also had a few false readings on the trip but that only kept the foot off the pedal a bit more.
Other than that, if functioned fine for the price.

I can not give a good review of this product because the one I purchased does not work. I am now going to have to send it into the manufacturer for service. (I waited to long to call or I would have sent it back for a refund.) the only alerts that I have gotten are on the ku band, none of the other bands have ever alerted. the manufacturer had me reset the detector. But I don't expect that is going to fix it so now I will have to send it in for service. wish I had not waited past 30 days to call!

This detector has decent range. I have found that many doors locally use k band, only a couple so far I have seen use x band. Overall a decent detector though, especially for the price. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is buying for the first time.

Avoid getting pulled over!Feb 05, 2009
False alarms are avoided when i use the city mode and it still lets me know if signal strength becomes strong. The voice alerts is such a great feature it allows me to know when it detects a radar with actually having to look at it and I can still pay attention to the road. I would definitely recommend.
