Great Tape DeckMay 23, 2009 I bought this to transfer old cassettes to disc. It has been a wonder to work with. I have found nothing that doesn't work beyond expectations. With the auto-reverse I just start it up and copy the whole tape to pc in no time at all. Playback on the cassette deck is great.
A very good find for the priceApr 09, 2009 I purchased this deck for my Dad to play his old cassettes. I was not looking for anything hi-tech and expensive. I got this one for $98.00, much less than what similar products were selling for at Fry's Electronics. It is easy to hook up, easy to use, and the sound quality is great for our needs. The unit is quite large, so if your shelf space is limited, you might want to check the height measurements before you order.
Ace of tape deckFeb 17, 2009 Actually I needed a tape deck to complete my project and this one came in very handy.

Defective out of the boxOct 04, 2008 Item was received in factory sealed undamaged box but when opened it was discovered to have a defective cassette door, Item returned for refund. Refund postage was disallowed even though I was assured that it would be refunded.

Don't waste your money!Sep 20, 2008 Don't waste your money on this! It's junk!
Specifically:
no low frequency response (better sound from a walkman)
tape counter was so slow it was of no use
no headphone jack
no eject buttons (had to push on the door to open)
We returned the Teac and bought Sony TCWE475 Dual Cassette Player / Recorder. We're very happy with it.
