Sony Bluetooth Wireless TransmitterOct 21, 2009 After reading the reviews of my choices to use my Motorola wireless headset, I chose Sony and I didn't make a mistake. It was as simply as out of the package, plug into ipod nano, hold down Sony Transmitter button, done. I was out the door running in less then 30 seconds. The transmitter doesn't come out, I don't lose signal...in fact, I walked from my 2nd floor to the 1st floor and still didn't lose reception. The best investment I've made!
bluetooth transmitterOct 18, 2009 Overall good product, hopefully in the future it will be manufactured to have a longer battery life and work with multiple phones.
One Button Does It All?Oct 11, 2009 Purchased this device to use between my iPod and wireless headphones. Generally, it workes flawlessly and with little hassle. It does use my iPod for its power so I have to make sure my iPod is well-charged. I have had one incident where it locked up my iPod pretty badly as I was disconnecting it. Perhaps I had not fully turned it off before disconnecting it, so I'll give the device the benefit of the doubt. It's small and very portable but this trend toward one-button-does-it-all is a bit annoying. It's a little frustrating to turn on, off, and set a device with only one button, one indicator. But, I guess in order for it to be small and portable, something has to give. It's great to have the ability to go wireless with my iPod, so all in all, this was a beneficial purchase.

Works with iPhone Gen1 but ONLY in iPod modeSep 24, 2009 Connects easily, keeps being paired with Sony DRBT140Q Bluetooth Wireless Stereo Headset even after I disconnect it from iPhone and connect it my iPod.
Big Con: you can only use your iPhone as an iPod using this adapter (listening to music or podcasts). It does not allow you to use your headset for telephony. Thus the mic functionality of my headset is wasted.
To be fair: this is not a problem of Sony, it is iPhone Gen1's and 3G's lack of support for A2DP protocol. If you have 3GS - you don't need this device. Apple made A2DP available in 3GS.
Finally, bluetooth that worksSep 14, 2009 I got this to go with my motorola S9-HD, because of the good reviews, and Motorola's BT transmitter was not very good. Sony did a very good job with this, does not drain the battery excessively, transmits well and easy to set up. What more could you ask for.
