wowNov 02, 2009 for the price you cannot get a better speaker. easily as good as far more expensive speakers.
Excellent speakers, especially for the priceOct 26, 2009 These Sony speakers are an amazing value. I have owned some great speakers, and these rank up there with some of the best. Also, small thing, but they look great, and fit very well in a smaller living room, like what I have. Would definitely recommend these to anyone looking for some great sounding floor speakers.
Good, but not what i expected.Oct 15, 2009 I got this pair of speakers because i recently upgraded from a 5.1 to a 7.1 receiver. I had 4 ss-b3000 3 way speakers and the CN5000 center, all sony. I chose the f6000 because it seemed like a big high performance speaker. I am please with the sound and i think the price is adequate for what you get. The only thing is that my B3000 which are smaller speakers have better louder bass.
So if you are thinking about a big sound system i would go with the 3000 instead of these ones. The 3000 are less expensive and perform just as well if not better. Also they take less space.

Great speakers for a bargain price!Sep 18, 2009 I really can't say enough great things about these speakers. They are constructed well, look great, inexpensive and sound fantastic. They are not $1500+ top shelf high end audiophile speakers, but thats not what I was looking for. For the price paid + free shipping, they are an astounding bargain. Based on the sound of these, I'm redoing the rest of my home theater setup in comparable Sony bookshelf type speakers and adding a 12" Sony subwoofer. Audio is nice, and rich. No portion of the spectrum is over emphasized either, which is usually a characteristic of low end speakers. Either the bass is thumpy and muddy, while lacking treble, or the mids and highs sounds decent but the low end just can't keep up. Not so with these. I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking for good sound without spending a fortune.

Very good bang for your buck!Sep 15, 2009 I picked these up in July and used them for about 3 weeks. I definitely was impressed with them right away. They do sound great, esp in the mids and highs. The bass lacks some oooomph, but is very tight and clean. Overall the sound on this speaker is best described as clean, precise and very natural sounding. After using this in my living room I decided that I wanted to try to the SS-F 7000 Towers instead and sent these back. The SS-F 7000 towers have the same Mid and Highs, but much better bass. The bass is not quite as tight, but has more presence then with the SS-F 6000's, which were tighter on the bass. So I'm keeping the 7000s, but still wanted to give my two cents about the 6000s and how good they are. With a speaker sensitivity of 89db these will get plenty loud on lower power AVRs.
Please look for my other reviews about the rest of the Sony setup I have:
