I bought this little player about a year and a half ago. I've dropped it and traveled with it, and it holds up well. I haven't had a single problem with it. The battery life is good and long - I can go an entire day or more listening to it hooked up to my universal mp3 dock. I have another mp3 player that I can't listen to while charging, but this one charges and you can still use it. As far as the software goes, it's very easy to understand and it syncs well with Media Player without having to load any extra software onto your computer.

This is the second addition to my Sony Walkman mp3 family... I upgraded to this one from the NW-E003PINK model. After using the NW-E003 for 3 years, the NWZ-S616FRED is definitely a welcomed improvement! With the crunch on cash these days, I wanted something that didn't cost alot, but is reliable. (Besides, I'm just not an iPod kind of girl.) I must say Sony hasn't disappointed me yet, so I'll continue to shop Sony. I've only had this refurbished NWZ-S616F for two weeks, but so far no trouble. User friendly, bright display, easy-to-navigate library, drag and drop upload, great sound... I love it!

My fiance bought me this mp3 player for my birthday - then became envious because he had a different one and liked mine better. So I got him one. I love it SO much. I have never had any problems and its been almost 2 yrs. I would take it over an IPOD or a ZUNE any day!

This is by far the easiest MP3 I have tried (compared to Ipod and Sandisk), this is certainly the best one I've worked with. I'm not very computer literate, and this one is "dummy proof.!"
