Not too happy...Feb 11, 2006
The only function this light would be good for would be for someone to find you...especially w/ the SOS signaling system. However, if you plan to see w/ this light instead of being found w/ this light..and there is a difference..then I would just stick to the regular ol' flashlights. This Pl-10 does not have a reflective area to focus the light in one direction..so you get one big bright spot, but then a lot of wasted light around that. You can see really good w/ this item up close, so this would probably be a good light for mechanics to use b/c of its durability. So far, I have had 2 issues w/ this flashlight...and I have only had it for 2 or 3 weeks. The first issue is the button that turns it on is rubber...and it has already fallen off. The second issue I have w/ this flashlight is that if the smallest vibration goes through the house, the light cuts on. For instance, my cat bumps against the bookshelf that I have this flashlight sitting on and the next thing I know I'm signaling the Coast Guard for some help! Buyer beware..just go to wal mart and buy you a sure thing....get a Maglite.
