NOT for Macintosh!Jan 24, 2009 I was so upset when I received this product and realized it does not support Mac at all. Big waste of time.

Professional, but not clearMar 21, 2007 Firstly, I think that Panasonic is one of the greatest electronic manufacturers and have never had a complaint about their products. I bought this camera for it's extensive features, color, zoom, sound and brand name.
Setup was really simple. It was packaged nicer than any camera that we have ever bought. The interface and feature set is great. But the clarity isn't acceptable:
From less than 10 feet away, I could not see letters on a sign that were almost 1" tall. There is no adjustment for focusing. The zoom is a digital zoom, so you can not see the picture any clearer by zooming in. It just makes the unclear picture larger.
We have many different low end and high end cameras in our company, where all of them can focus on letters further than 10 feet and smaller than 1". We will try to find money in our budget to buy the KX-HCM280 or similar camera, because it gives an autofocused razor sharp clear image.

Panasonic Network Camera KX-HCM110A Jan 03, 2007 I really wanted a wireless camera so it could be placed anywhere, but with the features I wanted they were way out of my price range. The panasonic cameras got great reviews everywhere i looked and so I figured I would give this top of the line "wired" version a try. Setup was a breeze the camera was plugged in and the software installed. The wizard takes you through setting up the camera on you local network and once that is done sets it up for internet access. With the purchase of the camera panasonic also gives you a a free dynamic DNS service. The integrated web server works great, you can pan tilt and zoom all from a web page. You have options to set the camera for still quality or movement quality. The recording software is also pretty cool. You can set the camera to record to a local PC upon movement or schedule times that the camera records.
Pros: easy set-up, great picture quality, integrated web server, dynamic DNS server,
Cons: recording software does not allow sped up viewing of recorded footage,
