Interesting design and intention but it is the weakest and dullest of the trimmers I have used.

THE RIGHT TYPE FROM AMAZONNov 15, 2009
I like this type of nose hair trimmer. I have used two other brands that were of the vibrator type and they were almost useless. I had owned a Panasonic years ago but lost it in my travels. This model has a rotary motor that is far more effective than the vibrator type. The case is also handy for traveling.

This one really works, very fast it doesn't pull or hurt like others, had another one that was slow, didn't work well, it was a painful experiance, and the battery was dead all the time.

I bought two of these, one for me and one for my spouse. I paid more than the current price.
Both of us think this trimmer does a poor job compared to our old, less expensive Panasonic trimmers. It takes too long to do even a small clean up job because it does not seem to cut well nor fast enough. I suppose the vacuum is nice, but we never had an issue without one so I am junking these and replacing them with the simpler model like we had before.

What can one say about the Panasonic ER430K Vacuum Nose/Ear Hair Trimmer except two words... It Works!
Not only does it shave away unsightly nose and ear hair, but the built in vacuum means you won't accidentally breathe in any nose hair strands that will get caught in the back of your throat (similar to what happened to Larry David in that episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm.)
Appropriate as a gift for married guys, single guys, tough guys, average guys, or even metrosexuals. A perfect birthday present or stocking stuffer at Christmas (or Hanukkah). Excellent for the man who is nasty and as scandalous as a mug (with regards to the crops and bushes growing out of his nose and ears)!
