JunkJun 20, 2009 This reader never worked in any computer I tried to use (both Windows and Mac). When I heard about the Kingston Mobilelite reader, I was impressed by its design and took another chance... and am glad I did. Go see my review of it!
Don't bother with the Lexar... a piece of junk!
Won't read SDHC MicroSD cards inside their SD adapters from Transcend, SanDisk or Kingston.May 18, 2009 Won't read SDHC MicroSD cards inside their SD adapters from Transcend, SanDisk or Kingston.
Yeah, I have all the latest service packs for XP and Vista and those MicroSD HC cards read fine in every other USB reader except this one.
Lexar tech support is a cluster of morons, you'd have better luck getting answers from a housecat on a dairy farm. They'll dismiss tech support inquiries with statements such as
"we only guarantee compatibility with Lexar memory devices..."
THEN THEY SHOULD SAY SO ON THE PACKAGE !!!
Don't plan on RELIABLY using most cards larger than 2GB in this p.o.s
Excellent product, very portableSep 02, 2008 This product is just what it says. I've only used it with SD cards (both full size and micro) but it reads them quite well and is relatively fast. I would recommend it for anyone who moves between several computers.
So Far, So Good!Jun 07, 2008 I purchased this to work with my Macbook Air. So far it has worked perfectly and I've been able to back up a lot of my work on the cards. It has also worked seamlessly reading my camera card.
Completely SatisfiedMay 03, 2008 This device feels like a plastic toy, but it works very well with my XD-Picture cards, which most multi-card readers can't handle. A three foot usb cable is included. Getting the card in and out of the slot wasn't difficult after the first few times. The potentially loose cover isn't an issue with me because I leave the reader plugged into my desktop computer with the usb cable.
