disapointmentAug 30, 2009 I am 89 years of age so there is the possibility (?) that I am the problem.
Thus far, I have not been able to get the correct settings so I am not a happy camper.

JVC HRXVCIIBAug 11, 2009 I purchased this JVC Combo
unit and in description what you dot read might hurt you, well found out that in order to watch dvd or vcr successfully I must
purchase an "RF" box to make proper connection complete and enjoy unit, since TV dosen't support terminals of red,white.yellow.This hook-up will go to converter box used for tv. I would lie to have known however
the scene of back of unit
before hand... (it would hav been very helpful)

DVD player/VHS reviewJun 26, 2009 The machine is working perfectly so far. The only problem that I have had with it had to do with my not knowing hat tuner-free meant when I ordered it, consequently there is no place to screw the coax into the back. It plays DVD's and Tapes perfectly but that is all that it does. The clock, the timer and all the recording on the VCR does not work at all. This comes from being ignorant of all the changes in the machines.I guess that I will just have to keep bumbling through.

not the right choiceApr 08, 2009 Wish I had chosen a different product. There is no problem. I thought I'd encounter more vhs material, but it's extinct every where.

DVD Door Will Not Stay ClosedFeb 24, 2009 I have the DR-MV7 model. It looks the same as this one. I only used the recorder a few times over the year. It wasn't long before the dvd door began giving me problems staying closed. At first, I could hold the door closed and the dvd would read. After a while, the dvd would not read at all and the door kept popping open. Before you buy any of these JVC models you might want to surf the internet for reviews. Too bad as my unit looks good as new inside and out.
