Intermatic TN1 Standard Lamp & Appliance TimerJul 01, 2009 Unfortunately this product does not work as it should on a 50 Hertz voltage system.
Lamp TimerDec 22, 2008 This is a great lamp timer which I have used for porch lights for years. It is easy to program and set via the inside current time dial while the outer dial is for the program pegs that turn on or off the internal switch. Nice unit for a nice price.
Lamp & applience timer.May 20, 2008 Completely satisfied! Timer is exactly as described, and works great. Delivery was good.
Excellent, if you skip reading the manualDec 15, 2007 The timer is working great after messing up 1/2 hr with the supplied manual. I am not technically challenged, but the manual makes is pretty hard to start with, since I do not know what does teh green/red pins stand for. Anyway, there is a littl esticker on the back of the timer itself which has "quick start" guide and that helps finally. The timer works just fine, I do not have to worry about start and stop my christmas lights.

CAN set exact time!Dec 04, 2006 With a little effort and patience, it's easy to set these to an exact time (within about a minute).
(1) Insert a red pin to shut off the timer at a round hour, about an hour or two ahead of the current time. (If you're doing this at 2:30, for example, set it to shut off around 4:00.)
(2) Advance the wheel past the current time, so the timer thinks it's something like 3:30 or 3:45.
(3) Wait for the timer to shut off, and then immediately unplug it.
(4) Plug the timer back in at exactly the time you set it for (4:00 in this example).
At this point it should retain the correct time until the next time you move the timer, have a power outage, or need to reset the clock for daylight saving time. In my experience the various pin slots on the timer are accurate to within about a minute, and the timer itself might lose or gain as much as a minute per month. But that's still much better precision than you can get without this technique.
