Great for the priceJun 27, 2008 I've now had this little guy for a year and with the exception of the green transducer dying in the first week (replaced immediately by Humminbird), it works like a charm. It's been in both frest and salt water repeatedly without a hiccup. I've had it in as much as 60 feet with fairly good resolution, discerning between weeds, rocks and fish
well for the price. Great little unit for the money, for sure-especially if you have a kayak like me. You won't be disappointed.

Worthless, not to mention that it arrived with dead battery to begin with.Feb 20, 2008 I got this product with great anticipation of having my fishing trip to be special. Indeed, it was "SPECIAL"!
The device arrived with dead battery to begin with. Second, after i replaced the battery and played with a little with settings, i started to doubt in terms on the possible performance. Nevertheless, when the big day have came and i departed to the place i want to fish(50 miles away) i was disappointed with the device. After casting few times and configure settings for sensitivity the signals started to be picked up by receiver antenna with a delay of 30, 60, 120 and more seconds. Eventually it died on me without even fully utilizing the futures of the device in about 15 minutes of my arrival. Before it did die though, I've noticed that it didn't read accurately the water depth. In short, it might have been the defective device or perhaps the set of dead batteries, but i refused to buy another one and will not recommend anyone.
