4Mine works fine, so far.Nov 18, 2009
Reviews are a good thing, but generally not for these system's and I waited several year's to buy one because of the poor reviews and a better price tag. I really wanted the anemometer, so, I took a chance and so far mines working just fine. I haven't tried the software.

My major concern was getting a signal through my metal roof and several wall's and it's been working just fine for 3 month's now. Not real sure about the accuracy but it's nice to look at and the remote is really helpful.

Recently we had some strong wind's and I'd watch with interest. The instructions that come with this don't clearly explain how you can check the daily history and I bought it for that. I had to go online and down load the instructions which are (for what ever reason) in more detail that what comes with the unit.

The battery compartment's have a rubber gasket seal and stainless screws. These are real, real tiny..like whats on your glasses. It comes well packaged, with clamps and even all the batteries you'll need. Nice big base station with a cool hydraulic-like door to set it up or the remote. I used the remote, It's easier to see.

All, in all I'm happy with it. Yes, I'd recommend one.

5Fantastic! - Easy to set up, a joy to use!Sep 14, 2009
Bought this for my wife for her birthday. Super-easy to set up. She relies on it heavily on a day-to-day basis. It is fun for the kids to, as they get to wath the wind speed, rain fall, barometer reading, etc.

2Good Temp and Humidity - Bad Wind and ManualFeb 22, 2009
Like some of the others here, I have been unable for six months to get the wind speed and direction to work. The temp and humidity have done a good job as has the rainfall mode, but the manual was apparently written by someone with a less than stellar command of English and is very difficult to understand. I would not recommend it to anyone.

4Honeywell station is worthwhile overall Nov 25, 2008
The Honeywell weather information station has many positive features I enjoyed such as a large back-lit display, an ac adapter to prolong battery life, and easy to assemble accessories. I especially like the rain gauge, which takes live readings. It did not automatically synchronize the time however, and I have yet to read through the 50 page instruction manual to find out how to do that. Overall it provides a wealth of information about the weather that always keeps me up to date.

2 I would not recomend the Honeywell TE-923WNov 09, 2008
I purchased the Honeywell TE-923W, the software that come with it does not work on windows Vista. Also the unit keep losing its signal from the remote sensors. The remotes are less than 20 ft from the main unit. This is my second Honeywell. I have first purchased TE821 and it did not hold its signal either. I should have bought a Davis weather station. All my friends have Davis and have no problems with them at all. With a name like Honeywell, I thought this would be a great unit. I was wrong.I'm very unhappy with the Honeywell TE-923W.
I hope this will help you out in your choice.
Thanks, Don
