a lifesaver!Jul 18, 2009 This is the ONLY massager that has ever helped me! It's a real lifesaver. At times a get a tenseness and pain right next to one of my rear shoulder blades, and it's so severe that the tightness causes me to be short of breath. Nothing had ever worked for me until I found this massager.
Because it only has the one head, I can lie down on it and put the head right where the pain is. I use it with the heat on, and it does the trick! Even getting a professional massage has not helped me as much as this massager has.
Too bad that it looks like Homedics has stopped making this one, but it can still be found occasionally online. :-)
homedics palm massagerJun 04, 2009 this is the best massager i have found to get deep into your muscles. i bought one a few years ago at walmart and my husband and i used it so much it finally wore out. we searched everywhere and could not find one. we bought others but they did not compare to this specific massager. one day i decided to check on-line. i went to amazon and lo and behold i found one. iwas thrilled. thank you amazon.
Leg cramps anyone?Mar 29, 2009 This massager is very heavy and extremely strong. For general massage, loosening taut muscles and relaxation, I don't recommend it. However...
I get leg cramps. Excruciatingly painful, middle-of-the-night, leap-out-of-bed and bite-the-bullet-so-as-not-to-wake-up-the-neighbors leg cramps.
I keep this plugged in and handy and apply it immediately, full-force, on the cramping muscle. It still may take a while for the cramping to subside, but this is the only thing I've found the makes any difference while in the throes.
I've *dramatically* reduced the frequency of leg cramps by doing simple mild stretching, but when one hits, this is a god-send. The rest of the night's sleep is usually salvageable, for which I'm grateful.
Needs TLCNov 25, 2008 The performance of this product was awesome, but where the cord attaches to the unit wears down too fast. It eventually got a short in it after only a year of owning and using it. So if you buy it, don't put extra strain on the cord itself or it will break down.

As good as my $1000.00 machine with less hastle.Sep 08, 2008 I am a professional Reflexology Practitioner in Delaware. At the end of each session I have used a mechanical percusser for six years that was a very expensive machine. It works wonderfully, but is large and not easy to move around (I created a caddy to make it easier to move). This little percusser from Homedics is so much easier to use and completely portable and light weight and it also featutres a heat button which my other machine does not feature. It is reliable and gives a very good stimulation to the feet and hand reflex points. My clients like it as well as or better than my original machine. I would rate it a best buy for me at $19.99 plus shipping. It is sturdy, easy to use, shaped well to hold in the hand with an adjustable safety strap for secure holding when in use. It weighs very little and is ideal to use for outcalls. All in all it is one of the best buys I have ever made.
