Excellent ProductNov 20, 2009 This thing really works! I had no idea that our basement was that damp. I really wanted a plain jane, no frills dehumidifier but could not locate one. I decided on this unit and I have to say this is one of the best products I have bought in a long time!
dehumidifierNov 18, 2009 This unit is doing a great job of keeping my basement dry. It started out at 80 per cent and was down to 75 percent the first day. By the end of two days the humidity was 55 percent and maintains that humidity now. I thought it would affect my electric bill in a big way but it has only gone up $5.00. It works good, quiet and worth the investment.
Now THAT's what I'm talking about!Nov 10, 2009 After having three Comfort-Aire units die after around a year and a half each, I did some serious research and picked the Frigidaire. So far, this thing rocks! Super quiet. Brought our 1200 s.f. basement from 85% to 45% r.h. in about four hours. POW! Five year warranty! BAM! No more expensive than the crappy ones! BOOM! Free shipping from Amazon! WHACK!
FRIGIDAIRE 70-PINT DEHUMIDIFIERNov 02, 2009 I HAVE A MOISTURE PROBLEM IN MY BASEMENT AND THE MUSTY SMELL THAT COMES WITH THAT PROBLEM. SINCE I HAVE HAD THE DEHUMIDIFIER THE MUSTY SMELL IS GONE AND I'M EMPTYING THE BUCKET 2-3 TIMES A DAY. THIS ITEM WORKS REALLY WELL. IT'S SLEEK AND ATTRACTIVE LOOKING ( AS FAR AS DEHUMIDIFIERS GO) AND AMAZON HAD THE BEST PRICE. IF YOU PURCHASE IT, I'M SURE YOU WILL BE AS PLEASED WITH IT AS I AM.

Excellent for my unfinished basementNov 02, 2009 I purchased this unit in August and am extremely pleased with the job it is doing in my large unfinished basement. I live in a 105 year old house. We had a very rainy summer here in Connecticut and so far have also had quite a bit of rain this autumn. This dehumidifier has done an excellent job of keeping my big, old basement dry. The musty smell is long gone and the cement floors dry out quickly after a rain storm. We keep it in the middle of the basement, and despite some partitions that separate the laundry area, furnace, and storage areas, it is keeping the entire basement dry. As others have said, it was extremely easy to un-box and get it started. This is my first dehumidifier and I am very pleased.
