DynamatSep 29, 2009 Dynamat works very well. I used the door system and I am very happy with the reduction in door vibration. The material was also used on the floor and rear cab of a 1986 Ford F150 truck. I would use it again without question.
Works great. Great Price.Sep 08, 2009 I was able to apply the dynamat to both doors and my rear deck with alot left over. I even overlapped on all the resonant areas. It works extremely well at keeping the music inside the car. Lows and mids are clear and tight. Alot of the rattles are gone. The interior is about 15%-20% quieter after applying this and some foam to my doors, firewall, and rear deck. With a quieter interior you may notice other squeaks and rattles all around the car so while this will kill the big rattles and resonating vibrations on your doors you may notice noises from your dash, seats, etc. that are unrelated but now apparent. I plan on lining my entire trunk with Dynamat next.
Dynamat worksAug 16, 2009 So far I used this product in three loacations in my 98 civic. I installed in the trunk around wheel wells and under the hood....I'm not yet sold on the road noise reduction and it didn't make a bit of difference for engine noise when put under the hood. But, on the rear deck it no doubt increased the music quality and bass response of my 6x9's, to the point of justifying the hefty price tag. There was a really annoying vibration that I thought was coming from the speakers but actually cleared up completely with a layer of dynamat. It even cleared up distortion I didn't even know I had until I heard the difference after this installation. This is definitely a great product for any sheet metal where you have speakers.
great stuff!Aug 12, 2009 I installed Dynamat in the doors of my Acura TSX and now they feel so much more solid. They make a nice "ka-THUNK" sound when closing them, just like a pricey German car! Plus the cabin is noticeably quieter at highway speed. And the reduced ambient noise means I don't have to turn the sound system up as high and I hear much more detail in the music. I highly recommend this product! I just wish it was a little more economical.
Vibrations-ELIMINATEDJul 17, 2009 DYNAMAT MAYBE ISN'T A MIRACLE, but it does the job when it comes to stopping vibration! I'm an audio engineer with all types of resonant frequency and white noise vibrations to deal with. I put this material into one of my trucks to deaden door panel vibration. IT FLAT DOES. It is also very versatile in application because the material [a sticky butyl rubber backed by aluminum] will go just about anywhere you can cut it to fit! Once 'properly' adhered it will very much help to squelch those annoying vibrations, which in turn, will make any sound system sound much better.
When ordering Dynamat products be careful to know your square footage [area], and order enough material to do the job. Don't rely on advertising, rely on mathematics! Their ads tell you what they 'might' cover, but also give dimensions, so use them....
