Time consuming, but worth it.Sep 20, 2009 I ordered this item to reduce the harsh engine noise and some of the road noise in my mechanically-stock 2007 Honda S2000. I removed the seats and interior carpet, then applied the Dynamat to the floor from the base of the firewall to the middle of the rear wall of the cabin. I also covered the transmission tunnel. I used exactly three pieces (of the 9 in the box) for the driver's side and a little over 3 for the passenger side. Honda had installed a small amount of a very similar material on either side of the transmission tunnel, but it's nowhere near as effective as the Dynamat. At a later date, I may go back and do the trunk area. Conveniently, the Dynamat was sticky enough that no preparation of the metal surface was required whatsoever.
Do yourself a favor and get the Dynamat roller. I tried using a small wallpaper roller, and it was completely inadequate for my needs. It took a lot longer to smooth out the material and eliminate the air bubbles.
Engine noise was markedly reduced, though some harshness is still audible. it represents a significant improvement and my expectations were met. My stereo upgrade almost doesn't seem worth it anymore, since very little amplification is needed now.
DynamatSep 13, 2009 This mat is great for my new stereo installation. Increases the quality of sound.

Tom's Garage RaveSep 13, 2009 This product was referred to me by a friend at the coffee shop. I got info about ordering it. I am in the process of building a 40 Chevy coupe and was at the point for a product to help insulate. Upon receiving the Dynamat I was so impressed just reading the instructions regarding the simplicity of installing. I have just about completed the installation and I am so impressed. I may need to order more.
I am so pleased with the product, the shipping was free, the delivery time was unreal, I can only say good things about the product DYNAMAT, and thanks to Amazon.com for handling.
Dynamat Extreme Cuda Right OnJul 06, 2009
There is no Substitute for sound and heat deadening than Dynamat Extreme.Cost for application is very affordable when you purchase the bulk packs. Ease of installation coupled with extraordinary results makes this one time purchase a dream come true. My next step is to apply a door kit! Not to mention the notoriety of using the best is worth the neighborhood's compliments.

Not ConvincedMay 28, 2009 Dynamat Xtreme was a product that I had high hopes for, given the information on the company's website and the testimonials from people like Chip Foose and Jay Leno. However, after installing it on my truck (I also installed the Dynapad) to dampen my loud aftermarket truck exhaust, I wasn't very impressed. In fact, I noticed an increase in exhaust noise so profound it made my vehicle unbearable on long trips. A representative of the company pointed out that after installing the product some noises may seem more pronounced due to a decrease in overall noise. This was hardly the answer I was hoping for after spending hundreds of dollars and many hours on installation. I cannot recommend this product because the the results achieved seem slight when compared with the price. It may be a good investment for older cars, but I'd be wary.
