I buy juicers because I like fresh squeezed orange juice, lemon juice etc. I purchased this at Macy's and was told that it was the best available - so much for sales people's endorsement. It looks good and in theory it should work well. The problem is that it is too light. When you push down the 1/2 orange or grapefruit, the unit spins from the bottom, makes a mess of the juice and spills everything all over.
I through it out - no one should have to use this piece of crap

1The Worst Citrus Juicer EverFeb 19, 2010
Looked pretty but very difficult to clean, juice all over the place ... a mess!! It ended up dying after a year.

2You can do better...Feb 16, 2010
This will closely mimic at least one other review, so I'll just put the pros and cons out there.

pro:
Despite many problems, it gets the juice out of the orange. So much for the pros.

cons:
Impossible to keep it from turning under you and making a big mess.

Tray fills up with pulp after three oranges and requires cleaning.

Spout is ridiculously short, leading to a big mess.

Reverse mechanism is just weird and unpredictable - when it works at all.

The motor makes a horrible noise about half the time. Cuisinart actually sent us a new one because of this... the new one makes the noise a little bit less often.

WHAT A PIECE OF JUNK...THE MOTOR IS SOOOO WEAK (25w) THAT IT STALLS OUT WITH THE SLIGHTEST OF HAND PRESSURE...THEREFORE YOU'RE NOT GETTING ALL THE JUICE/PULP OUT OF ANY CITRIS....LIVING IN FLORIDA IT'S MANDATORY THAT YOU HAVE A JUICER THAT WORKS SO BUY ANOTHER --- PLUS I WOULDN'T EVEN GIVE THIS THING TO GOODWILL SO ANOTHER POOR FELLOW WOULD SURRENDER SOME BUCKS!!! YOU MIGHT WANT TO TAPE ALL THE PARTS TOGETHER AND USE IT AS A FOOTBALL OR BETTER YET TARGET PRACTICE...!!!

After dealing with a loud and weak Black & Decker for a year, I decided to give this a try. SO HAPPY WITH IT!
The motor is actually strong enough to do the job on its own without having to push hard and squeezes everything out of oranges, grapefruit, lemons, clementines and kiwi. It is also pretty silent so I don't have to worry about waking everyone up in the morning if I want some fresh juice... such a relief after the B&D!
Sure it could use some extra convenient features like the B&D has (cord wrap, adjustable pulp control, small and large cones, built-in pitcher)...but honestly, I will gladly give up those features to have a juicer that does what it's supposed to do..silenty extract the juice from your citrus without your effort.
I'm really not sure why people are having problems with the machine's stability...yes, I use two hands to juice, which I always did...why would you need to hold the glass or measuring cup as well?! Anyways, I can't really relate to this problem...
I would definitely recommend it and packed up my old B&D to donate it to someone who will only juice a couple of times a year and doesn't mind the noise and annoyingly weak motor...
I only had this machine for a couple of days and I really hope that it will keep up with my love for freshly squeezed juice every day for a long time.
