5Impressive Performance For The PriceJun 04, 2009
The Creative Labs Website sells these for just under 10 as of this writing. Don't be fooled by the price, these speakers are surprising good - they have the best sound of any speakers I've ever heard in this price range. Their performance is almost on par with the some of the best mid-range stereo speakers that cost quite a bit more.

Controls
--------
The power button, volume control knob, and 3.5mm headphone/earphone jack are all located on the right speaker.

Sound
-----
The volume can be turned up very high. The midrange is flawless and clear as a as bell. The bass sounds clear, not muddy, when turned up all the way. You will, of course, not get the bass "boom" from high end speakers, but it's capable of putting out a deep bass that packs quite a punch. With the bass at its maximum, the volume can be turned up pretty high before the speakers start buzzing.

Construction
------------
- Quality
These speakers may be cheap, but make no mistake, they are of superb quality, unlike the beige speakers of comparable size back in the old days that screamed CHEAP.

- Weight
The speakers are very lightweight. However, they are also slightly top-heavy so they do have a tendency to get inadvertently knocked over backwards. I wish they had made the base more stable.

- Speaker Covers
The grey material covering the speakers are not grills but are in fact fabric. The fabric over the top corners are very prone to wear and tear. On my speakers, the corners of the fabric coverings have worn off because they had occasionally been subjected to abrasion from being brushed up against the wall whenever the speakers get inadvertently knocked over.

Conclusion
----------
These speakers will probably fall short of being ideal for the hardcore audiophile, but for the average home user who simply wants a decent pair of speakers without breaking the bank, I think these will do very nicely. And at the aforementioned price, these are definitely a steal!

5Amazing desktop speakers @ such low pricesJan 24, 2009
I'm using SBS260 speakers since last 2 years. Sound quality is perfect, no disturbance/aberrations faced ever! I use them along with my Sound Blaster Audigy ZS Notebook sound card. These speakers never produced any problem with the output from soundcard.
I love them... perfect product @ correct price!

5perfectNov 30, 2008
I have searched locally for this item and was unable to find it. I did a broad search using MSN and found it here. I was so pleased with the items and with the speed at which they came. I would definitely recomend this retailer and their items for sale :)

4Very surprised by these capable speakersJun 25, 2008
I was looking for a pair of small speakers that I could put on my desk at work and play my XM Satellite Radio through during the day. They didn't have to have enormous bass as they would be played at low volume most of the time. After reading some great reviews about these speakers - and the low cost didn't hurt - I went ahead and bought them.

I was very surprised - these are some solid speakers. The frequency response, including the bass is amazing for their size, and they have a fair amount of heft to them, thanks to the large magnets used on the speakers inside them.

They actually sound extremely good up to fairly high volumes. They are best used as close-field monitors (i.e. where they are reasonably close to you, like on a desk), as they do not have room-filling sound - but that's exactly what they're designed for.

You can spend a lot more money, but you'll easily spend four or five times as much before you get better sounding speakers. Recommended!

5Great sounding limited space speakersFeb 03, 2008
I've had these speakers for awhile and have at times been very impressed with the audio quality of a speaker in this price range. My desk top is cluttered, and the area designed for my monitor has enough room to sit these speakers just behind the edges of my flat top digital monitor.

I've used them without any trouble, and they are surprisingly loud for a total of 5 watts RMS. So for anyone other than someone recording serious digital audio, or gamers that want room shaking performance, these little beauties do the job.
