The only bed my dog didn't chew up!Nov 17, 2009 My dog chews up anything that is stuffed, has a zipper, tag or cushion of any kind. This bed was our savior. It's also easy to collapse and put away, or carry to the petsitter's. I think the middle probably does hit the ground when he's curled up in it, but he doesn't mind a bit. We have a medium sized one for our large English Pointer. He curls up pretty tightly though.
GREAT ITEM!!!!!Nov 01, 2009 What a wonderful product! I have 3 outside dogs, two being very high energy. If they have not been able to tear this thing up yet, it can't be torn up! :-) They look very comfortable laying on it. I got 3 large cots but could have suffixed with 2. My two twins (2 puppies I found from the same litter), usually are nestled together in one of them.
I also love that it can be folded and transported very easy, just like the fold-able chairs you see people sitting in at outdoor events.
A good alternatvie to the typical dog bedOct 12, 2009 I bought this dog bed for my two huskies. The large lounger is 40"x40", so its the perfect size for my 45-50lb dogs. I really like that the dog fur doesn't stick to the fabric, making it easy to vacuum, and the fact that you can easily pull off the cover and toss it in the washer is a plus. Have had it for 2 months now, and its holding up well, no signs of wear and tear, even after both of them run, jump, and play on it on a daily basis. Its definitely nicer that the typical stuffed dog bed that gets flattened after a few uses. I have only used it indoors so far, but I am sure it would easily hold up as an outdoor dog bed. The only change I wish coleman would make is to elevate the bed a few more inches (16" would be nice instead of 11"). Once one of the dogs is sleeping on the bed, she is only a couple inches off the floor. I can imagine with an even larger/heavier dog, they probably sink all the way to the floor. Overall a great durable product.
Quality productSep 21, 2009 At the time of this writing our 65 lb. dog has been using this bed (large size) for about six months. She just loves it, and we do too. It folds up as easily and quickly as a camping chair, and isn't bulky to store or transport, making it perfect for moving around the house or taking along on an outing. The ability to use it outdoors is a big plus! After months of daily use and lots of folding and moving around it's still as sturdy and functional as the day it arrived.
The thin layer of padding doesn't allow it to hold offensive doggie odors like the stuffed variety often can. Animal fur doesn't embed itself into the fabric and can be easily brushed or vacuumed off, which is wonderful... I need to reupholster my furniture with this stuff! It does stretch a bit over time, but a round through the washer/dryer tightens it up again, and the material doesn't become misshapen or frayed. Our dog has thick nails and thus far she hasn't created any rips or tears in the bed.
Her weight does cause the bed to touch the floor a bit, as others have noted, but this hasn't been bothersome. For an old dog with long legs it's actually nice as it provides a little more stability when stepping onto the surface. She seems to be very comfortable when sleeping, and uses one of the corners to elevate her head as if it were a pillow. The cats often find it to be a cozy resting spot as well.
We initially hesitated to buy this product, but now agree it was an excellent purchase. It has already outlasted the cumbersome, odorous, stuffed types that eventually go flat. The super portable design has also eliminated the need to have more than one dog bed in our home. Great space saver! When this one wears out we'll definitely replace it with the same model.
Bone Pet LoungerSep 20, 2009 Love this bed. Bought 2 of them & both dogs love the beds. They were very easy to assemble & judging by how much my dogs lay in them, they must be very comfortable. They don't take up a lot of space & dirt sweeps out easy. I would definately recommend this product.
