I'm a gadget skeptic whose been disapointed many times by poorly performing products. This one was set up in a few minutes and is performing beautifully. It is a neat design that actually functions as claimed. No problems with static and sound quality is really good. I recommend it.

That's exactly what I want. A FM transmitter with a DC adapter. It's not that easy to find product with such combination. Most of the cases you only get a FM transmitter, then you will have to buy another DC adapter for your GPS......
It's a great product. The signal is very good, though sometimes you may have to switch a channel for a clear sound. :)

Previously i had a Belkin iPod FM car transmitter which i believe cost around $30-40. It was horrible! Every station i would try to put it on was 70% static. You could barely hear the music over the static. I even tried putting the transmitter next to the radio, next to my cars antenna, no difference. I ended up throwing it away cuz it was just crap. A friend told me about this Coby one. He brought it along one time to test it out in my car. I couldn't believe how clean it was. There was little to no static! So i bought one. I gotta tell ya i am VERY impressed at how low the static to music ratio is. Seriously there is very little static coming from it. When you are playing music, you can't hear any static whatsoever! It sounds pretty close to a direct input corded adapter. So for the price, I HIGHLY recommend this FM transmitter, it is a steal at $[...]. It definitely rivals more expensive units.

I was generally pleased with this until just recently when the outlet plug decided to loosen and stop making a strong connection with my car's cigarette lighter. Now, every few minutes after enough vibration has loosened the adapter, it goes off and you have to fight it to get it to come back on.
Very irritating! Would suggest you purchase something else.

I am very pleased with the Coby CA-745 in my 2005 Honda Odyssey. I also have a Coby battery-operated FM transmitter which I had used in the Odyssey previously but I purchased the CA-745 to avoid having to replace batteries. On the maiden drive around town, we listened to pop, world and classical music. All were quite clear, the signal strength seemed very good (better even than the battery-operated transmitter, although the battery-operated unit works great in the house), and the radio frequency on the transmitter was easy to view, although I did not have to change it once.
Since the Odyssey-specific headunit has no input jack (except in the 3rd row back seat!), this really is a pretty good way to access music from my SanDisk Sansa. Of course, what would really be nice is to have mp3-capability integrated in the headunit and a wireless network storage device in the car that is able to sync music with my computer via the home network when I pull into the garage (so you could manage the music in your car in just the same way you manage the music on your mp3 player, all from your computer). I've not seen anything like this. Does it exist?
