 Durable, Compact, and Bright!Aug 14, 2009
I purchases this item through amazon on a Tuesday, and recieved it on Wednesday via standard shipping! I use this in my bedroom, and when I DJ at birthday parties. It has never failed me. However, do not expect to be able to change the color scheme in the middle of a party. It takes about 5 minutes and you need a screw driver. This product has a dance mode, which lets the lights spin to the beat of the music. I would highly recommend this product.

Although the product seemed solid and well built,
the item had clearly been "used" before. The mirror disks were broken and in pieces. One of the tension knobs was broken and in pieces. Signs of wear in the body and the lens was filthy with smudged oily finger prints. If you buy cheap-- BEWARE!
Gonna step up to a LED Moon and spend a few more bucks, hope it comes "new" as advertised!

Used 3 of these from different angles at our New Year's Eve party. The color setting is a pain to change. It requires you to take the mini moon apart (8 screws). It is a simple process, but time consuming. If you do not change to the color setting it comes with white spinning lights and you can tape a colored tab to the lens for one color. I used my mini moons for 7 hours without them over heating. The only problem I had was one of the colored settings worked its way loose by the end of the evening. I had to open the mini moon and screw the colored setting back on. Once again, this was a simple but time consuming task. I Added a 12 inch mirror ball to the ceiling and the room really came alive with color! All guest were impressed with the atmosphere created by the moons and the mirror ball! Will use these again and again. Great purchase!! Perfect dance party setting.

Pros: Bright, colorful, and cheap. This thing and a $20 fog machine does wonders for a party. It covers a large area with spinning colorful lights (just like the cheesy DJs have at weddings).
It's much heavier than it looks. It's well built and feels very solid.
Cons: High ceilings or giant rooms area a necessity. There is no "zoom" on the lens; meaning you cannot change how wide or narrow the light pattern is displayed. If you are planning on using this in a small room with a standard 8 ft. ceiling you will most likely not be able to cover the entire floor with the lights. When mounted in the corner of my 20'x25' living room I can only cover about 2/3 of the floor. I didn't even think about this before I bought it but it needs a lot of distance to fully spread out.
Overall, I'm very happy with this product. My wife and I have used it half a dozen times and it's always a hit with our friends and family.

HAd these for a party...these are better than the chauvet mini line dancer...as they dont have to switched off in 15 mins ...also the shape is not exactly of a moonflower..but with fog these lights look good...
not the best...but good enuff for a house party...
has many color options which is great..too much hassle changing them..but i wud say they are nice once set..
