Very good gunAug 27, 2009 I noticed that a review had not been posted for this gin in quite a while, so I decided to through my $.02 in. I read all of the reviews before buying it a few months back and decided that it would be a good fit fir what I needed. (mostly House of the Dead)When I got it, I noticed right away that the trigger was stiff, like most reviews state. I'm handy, so I took the advice of some other reviewers, and opened it up to replace the trigger spring with a "click pen" spring. I pot it back together and tested it out. PERFECT!! I can't figure out why the manufacturer can't make it this way to begin with, but whatever. I have 2 other guns (Perfect Shot and the Wii Zapper)and this is BY FAR my favorite. If your comfortable with removing a couple screws and replacing the spring, then I highly suggest that you get this gun.

Magnum Gun BluesMar 20, 2009 Wii Magnum GunPlaced wii remote into cradle in gun plugging it into connector. But pulling the trigger did nothing. The connector held the remote too high for the trigger to connect with the "B" button. The only way it would work is if I squeezed the remote hard into the gun with one hand while I pulled the trigger with the other. Making it impossible to aim aty target. Needless to say, I returned it quick.

With 1 modification, it's the BEST Wii gun attachment!Mar 19, 2009 NOTE: PLEASE keep all of this in mind while reading this review.
I have quite a few (if not all) the gun-based Wii games out there. That includes Ghost Squad, Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles, and both House of the Dead games (2&3 Return and Overkill). I believe this will be the most THOROUGH review on Amazon since I've played every game without attachments and with 2 other attachments besides the Wii magnum: the official Wii Zapper and Nyko's Perfect Shot.
Now... onto the review.
The very unfortunate thing about Nintendo's Wii Zapper is its design: it's not that comfortable. Some reviews on Amazon (as well as a few video game sites) pointed out that it's fine, as it resembles the shape of a paintball gun, and that using 2 hands steadies your aim. That's fine. But, unlike a paintball gun, you don't have to flick it or shake it, which is what causes your arms to get tired after extended hours of play, ESPECIALLY with RE Umbrella Chronicles and HotD: Overkill, which have gameplay elements that REQUIRE you to shake the Wii remote as an attack.
After playing with the Wii Zapper, I felt I needed something else more arcade-style. So, I borrowed the Nyko Perfect Shot from a friend to try it out before wasting more money. While it's designed quite well, there's 2 problems: 1) the molding is TIGHT, so you have no choice to take off the wrist strap to put it in and 2) the gun's TRIGGER! It's spring loaded AND there's quite a bit of space between pulling the trigger and the actual click of the remote trigger. Your index fingers will get tired after just 10-15 minutes of continuous shooting.
Then... I found the Wii Magnum from browsing Amazon. Looked nice (and cheap, too!) so I picked one up. It pretty much operated like the Perfect Shot (trigger and all). But, unlike the Nyko gun, I was able to disassemble the magnum with ease, and REMOVE the spring from the trigger. Doing this is ESSENTIAL, as it gives you the best features of the Zapper and Perfect Shot.
Meaning?
You'll get the same responsive trigger from the Zapper with the shape and comfort of the Perfect shot. PLUS, you don't have to take the strap off! There are small crevaces that allow you to dangle the strap off the sides (and still let you put it on, if you choose) VERY COOL!!

Take advice from a devoted gamer... this is the gun to get.
GREAT PRICE!Jan 28, 2009 I am a HUGE game fanatic... I can't go a day without looking for a new game to play with my family. So when I went to my local Gamestop looking for some WII products I had to catch my breath at the prices on accessories! My fiancee is a HUGE bargain shopper and wouldn't allow me to pay $30 for a remote add on. So she went looking around and found these.. And order 2. We took them to a friends house and played house of the dead with them and they asked where we found them and for how much. And told them. Well needless to say they returned theres the following day and order them from here!
Got to love amazon

NOT for RESIDENT EVIL gamesJan 13, 2009 OK. I can't say the product is bad. Actually the gun has a nice shape and the Wiimote fits just perfectly. Also the connection to the nunchuck is very accesible so it won't bother your gameplay. I bought it to play Resident 4: Wii Edition (since Amazon put them together as a recommendation of people who also bought..) but you can't play with it. Residente Evil uses the B button to Aim and the A button to shoot. So, you can imagine the "twister moment" moving nunchunk, pressing the trigger and pressing the a button...those who plays Resident Evil knows it is suicide!!. I don't know if you can use it with other games, but the fabric should recommend those games so people won't get wrong hopes on it.
