Poorly DesignedJan 02, 2008
As a dog trainer, I buy a lot of toys for training rewards. This is one of the worst designs I have seen in a long time. The strands of yarn are easily pulled out by the dog, leaving long strings which could be swallowed and cause serious problems. My dog loves playing with it, but I only let him do so under strict supervision. I expected a better design from Coleman.

Dangerous...poor qualityDec 22, 2007
My dog took this in his mouth when I first handed it to him, started to walk away from me, and had the ball drop out of his mouth -- with one of the strings still caught on a tooth. This ball proceeded to unravel with one continuous string forming the "shag carpet" effect. (Also, the base for the "shag" is a very loose weave...like burlap.) A dog that would chew on this ball would potentially end up with a mass of string in its stomach/intestinal tract -- with possible impaction/surgery as a result. Needless to say, I was on the phone with Coleman within 10 minutes of receiving the package. It's being returned for refund. The person I spoke with suggested that maybe I just got one that was defective. I won't be trying with another one.
