 BUNN NHBX-B coffee makerNov 19, 2009
I bought this coffee maker thinking it would be comparable to the superior taste of coffee made in the commercial BUNN coffee makers at fine restaurants. However, the coffee from the home version does not stack up. It comes out very weak when using my usual amount of coffee. I had to double the amount of coffee to make a decent cup of coffee and it still lacked the rich taste of restaurant coffee.

So sorry to have to return my Bunn today. This really is a nice coffee maker, it brews good, strong coffee in under three minutes and the flavor is fine. The only problem with this machine is that its warmer plate just doesn't kick out enough heat to keep the carafe of brewed coffee hot enough. It's hot, but not HOT. Just hot-ish, or even just really warm. No steam. I do not want to have to stick the cup into the microwave in order to have a hot second, third, or fourth cup of coffee. If you don't need to have your coffee piping hot, jump on this machine. No other complaints about it. Sigh. Back to reading reviews and shopping.
Amazon was super easy with the return. As always, their customer service is excellent!

This is probably the third Bunn I have owned. Each of the three that I have owned has lasted about 10 years. Two of the three were still working fine when I donated them to Goodwill. The last one began to leak after about ten years.Great product .

The reason I ordered a new Bunn was the last one lasted for ten years. They are very reliable and brew a pot very quick with the reserve water feature.

Just received my Bunn NHBX-B and despite numerous posts saying the product is made in the USA or in Canada, mine has "Made in China" printed on it. The Bunn website does not say where their products are manufactured nor does the downloadable manual. Seriously debating on returning the unit as this proud American company's product is NOT proudly made in America.
Edit: After speaking with a Bunn rep, most of the NHBX are made in China with some assembled in the USA or Canada. On the other hand, most of the BX version are made in the USA or Canada with a few made in China. If you are looking for one assembled in the US, you stand a better chance with the BX.
The difference between the BX and the NHBX is the looks--the BX has a square front and the NHBX has a rounded front.
