Description:

The New Bodum Jumbo Ceylon 3.0 liter Iced Tea Jug is great for all occasions, during hot summers as well as cold winters! Made of see-through plastic, the Ceylon makes brewing iced tea simple and easy. Bodum has been producing the Ceylon Iced Tea Maker for years in a 1.5 l, 51 oz capacity. After requests from consumers for a larger size version we are happy to launch this new 3.0 l, 102 oz version offering twice the capacity of our original Ceylon. The ease of use is the same; now you just get more of your favorite iced tea. The Ceylon allows you to easily make delicious, natural iced tea, giving you the freedom of choosing favorite ingredients. Simply add your preferred tea leaves into the removable filter and fill it half way with hot water. Allow the tea to brew to your liking and then remove the filter to stop the brewing process. Fill the rest of the pitcher with ice and after just one minute you are ready to serve fresh iced tea. In addition to iced tea, the Ceylon can be used for all kinds of delicious infused drinks like orange juice with mint leaves, sangria with lots of fruit slices or ice water with cucumber or lime slices. The filter system is removable allowing the Ceylon to double as a nice pitcher. The lid includes a screening filter to help prevent particulates from flowing into your cup. For best results we recommend hand washing the Ceylon Ice Tea Makers. Instructions and recipe suggestions included. The oval design helps this pitcher to fit easily in the refrigerator.

3Would have paid no more then $12Oct 08, 2009
I felt robbed after paying $30 and when opening the box found a plastic pitcher with simple insert. I brought this to work where there is not a dish washer so in little time the inside of the insert started to stain where I could not reach to physically wash it off. been using the pitcher for 1 year now, looking back on this product I should have looked at the picture just realized its a $30 plastic pitcher and nothing more, moved on and found a $12 plastic pitcher.

4interesting tea ideaJul 06, 2009
This simple looking pitcher is an ingenious device! It makes good iced tea. I do believe that the $30.00 price tag is a bit high; $15.00 at most is what it's worth.
Try it anyway, you'll appreciate the results.

2Worked okay for 1.5 years, still searching for *real* iced tea pitcherJun 07, 2009
I bought two of these about 18 months ago. The product immediately warped from the hot water to the point that the infusers would stick and jam when being inserted or removed, so I stopped using the infusers.

The plastic also immediately stained from the iced tea, and no amount of scrubbing would clean them.

Today, when pouring the hot water into one of them I heard a distinct "crack" sound, and looked down to see a crack along the side. The entire reason I bought a non-glass pitcher was so that it would survive being doused with boiling hot water.

So, one of my two pitchers is dead, they do a workmanlike job as tea pitchers, but I'll look elsewhere for replacements.

2Not the greatest...May 31, 2009
I have had this pitcher for about a year. The other reviews are pretty accurate. It is not balanced properly, the holes are too big for most whole leaf tea and it is an awkward shape. It can be convenient for brewing iced tea using bagged tea.

Overall it is pretty cheap (quality wise). I would pass.

5This is the best - I'm ordering my 2nd oneMar 07, 2009
I was always used to spending lots of time making iced tea and it was clumsy and I cracked containers and all that is now changed. I make my own creative iced teas loose and this guy is so HUGE that you get tons of cups and don't have to make the stuff over and over again. It looks great too and pours well. No complaints.
