 great for just 2 months.... downhill from there.Nov 09, 2009
We absolutely loved this at first. It heats drinks a bit too hot, but that didn't bother us much. About a month and a half after daily use, the lever for the pour spout broke, so now we have to use it like a pitcher and pick the whole thing up to pour a drink. The lever was one of our main purposes for buying and now we don't have it. Also, the mixing mechanism on the inside is starting a weird clicking/chugging sound, and I notice at the bottom, it is starting to strip out a little, so I don't know how much longer the stirring will last :(
We were super excited for this, and now we're rather disapointed. Should have dished out a bit more $$ for a better product.

This is a good product if you don't plan to use it a lot...I received one of these hot chocolate makers as a gift 2 Christmas's ago. It worked great and was used A LOT. About 10 months later it eventually melted and almost caused a fire. I assumed that I burned it out from over use. My husband replaced with a new one last Christmas and right on cue the second one is dying....it doesn't fully heat up the hot chocolate, so it's basically luke warm. I will not be buying another one of these because I at least expect to last more than 10 months.

I bought this for 12.00 to tide me over till I get new disks for the cocomotion. Seems to do a good job but it is noisy at times. So far the hot chocolate it nice and hot. I have not had a hard time cleaning it but I do it right away. Would give it I higher score but it doesn't froth as much as the cocomotion.

I absolutely love hot chocolate and was thrilled at the idea of having my own hot chocolate maker...how convenient, no more microwaving it one cup at a time, no more hassle. This little machine is a lot of hassle. First, and the most irritating of all is that when you fill it to the maximum level (32 oz.) once you turn it on, it will overflow. Second, after less than 5 uses, the spout knob broke. So now I basically do LESS than 32 ounces and I have to POUR it instead of using the spout. Guess what, I can do that with my jumbo Pyrex in the microwave. Very disappointed. I wanted to LOVE this product, I really did.

I thought since I use this everyday, I should write a review on it. Literally my husband and I use is several times a day. He like his green tea lattes (we used matcha powder like starbucks and milk plus vanilla flavor), and I like my green tea lattes with chocoate. And of course my kids like their hot chocolate. We have used it over and over for a year, and it's still going strong. ALthough I do want a stainless one... We have the white one.
You have to use a green scubby to clean the bottom, but it's not that hard. My kids have submerged the pitcher several times in water for long periods of time, and it's still going strong. You can't overfill... or get spills... but just don't overfill it... stop at the line marked!
The one think I really like it that it really mixed everything really well. You can't mix by hand matcha powerder to it balls up..... so it's really great to throw everything in and let it mix for you. I will make 4 cups of a flavored latte/steamer/ or coco in the morning and keep it going all day going back until it's gone.
When i got it for christmas from my sister I don't like, it was in my pile of returns. But, when i was gone my oldest kid pulled it out and mixed some coco..... I am glad she did. We love it.... no off to get more green tea latte.
