 Hard to believe...Nov 17, 2009
This thing works. Took out of box. Screwed handle on. Set cutter to 1/8" per the instructions. Put a Honeycrisp apple on & in about 5 seconds of crank turning it was done. I will never hand peel an apple again.

This is a great product as long as your apples are firm and crisp. Once the apples start to get soft the peeler can't grab a hold of the skin. I used it to peel apples for my wife making pies and apple sauce and it was great. It was like a production line. I would recommend it if you need to peel a bunch of apples at a time. It is also easy to wash.

Do not use on potatoes! Unless they are perfectly proportioned, you will end up with a very tiny result once the peel is removed. I read the other reviews on adjusting the device, but every time we ended up very poor results.

I was really looking foward to receiving this peeler as I've heard how many others like it. It arrived very quickly, but it wasn't protected well in the package and the "arm" that guides the apple was broken totally off the peeler. It was loose in the clear package that was stapled together. I was disappointed that I had to return it.

THIS PRODUCT PERFORMS AS DESCRIBED AND MAKES APPLE PEELING A CINCH. WE HAVEN'T REALLY TRIED IT WITH POTATOES SO I CAN'T ATTEST TO THAT BUT I IMAGINE IT WORKS MUCH THE SAME WAY. WE'VE USED THIS NUMEROUS TIMES ALREADY AND IT'S BEEN GREAT.
